Dell inspirion 3043 password reset

hello i got a laptop from on of my ex friend. the laptop he gave was already used. he had 2 accounts in that laptop there was a local account and a microsoft account he gave me the password for the microsoft account which was not admin. the local account was the admin So now i am stuck in this guest account for 6 months+ and i cant even ask him because we had an argument and we dont talk anymore
