I have a laptop that is unable to charge, but does not drain the battery when I have the AC adapter plugged in. When it's plugged in it also doesn't charge the laptop, it only tells me it's plugged in and not charging. What I have tried is updating the BIOS, reinstalling drivers, and putting a fresh copy of Windows 10 Home. I also tried reseated all the connectors as well as performed several power cycles. It did at one point start charging after a power cycle, but has now stopped charging.
I'm going to assume at this point all software possibilities have been ruled out. If I were to perform a hardware repair, what part(s) would be a good start at replacing? Otherwise do any of you have any other suggestions to try?
Thanks,
