I have two Dell Inspiron 1525 laptops; both are about 7-8 years old. (One was my daughter's).
They both have minor issues; new batteries needed, some keys not working or missing on keyboards, Windows VISTA, etc.

Wondering if it is worth getting one of them fixed or would it be more cost effective to just get a new laptop. THANKS

These are ok for continuing General purpose use if you can get a couple of replacement KB's cheap. I have three similar Toshies that get used by the wife and kids for surfing. If you want to play more recent games and such, then purchase a newer model for yourself. Replacing KB's on most laptops is relatively easy.
