My girlfriend just ran over my Dell Inspiron 5748 17" and broke the LCD screen. While researching replacement screens it keeps asking if my screen resolution is HD+ 1600x900 or FHD 1920x1080. The label on the front of the computer states HD+ and the Dell System Configuration states I have the 3V6TR screen (not 5TMH8) which returns search results as a 1600x900.
My question is: can my video card / system support upgrading the screen to the FHD 1920x1080 screen?
Both use the same connector and since I am asked by numerous sites which screen is on the model 5748 it seems that this system came with one or the other?
