Dell inspiron 9400

Hello,
my dell inspiron 9400 works only in VGA mode. Why?

Have you tried altering the display setting to increase from 800 x 600 to something better? Perhaps it's stuck in VGA mode - go Start then Run and in the open box,type msconfig then hit Enter.

Click the Boot tab and if there's a tick in /BASEVIDEO, remove it, click Apply, OK your way out and restart. When the system comes back up tick "Don't show this message again" and hit Enter.
