Dell Inspiron Power Problem

I've got a dell Inspiron about 4 years old that won't charge. The battery is brand new and so is the power cord and whenever I plug in the power cord I have to put pressure on the cord for it to start charging. Since the battery and cord are brand new I'm thinking it has something to do with the inside of where the cord plugs into the laptop. Is there a way to change that piece?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, just order a replacement power adapter I guess?
