Hello all you geniuses! I have come to ask a question between two laptops, and knew this was the best place to come!

So... i sold my dekstop for 800$ and i am planning on getting a gaming laptop, i want something for off the wall because i am not home alot.
So the two contenders are a dell inspiron- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B015PYYDMQ/ref=psdc_565108_t1_B0141H0AI4
and an Asus ROG-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232848R

I'm vexed because the main things i want to be able to do is play dolphin and fallout 4 which i know the i7 in the ROG will be best, both have the 960m and i know that the 4gb is not worth it because of the architecture in the 960m. But the i7 is two generations old. The dell is good because its thinner, and it has much better battery life, but it has a 256gb ssd, but i do have my 2.5 inch 500gb hdd that im gonna put in if i choose that one.

SO basically i'm asking your recommendations, which will be the best.

ALSO there is this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T7XRH2A/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=
on amazon, with a used one for 670 if i get it i could swap the optical drive for a 128gb ssd or similar option

THANKS IN ADVANCE :)

yeah but i researched the 2 processors as a comparison for Dolphin Emulation and the Vote was given for the i7 over the i5 because of twice the amount of threads. The graphics performance is the same with 2gb or 4gb. the 128bit architecture is not very useful with 4gb.

They recommend an i7, but from what I can tell, it doesn't use more than 3 cores/threads. So unless your doing other things while running it, I don't think it will be a major performance hit. The difference it Turboboost speeds is somewhat offset by the newer architecture of the 6300.
