Dell Vostro 1510 screen

Hi All

My sister has just slipped whilst holding her laptop. When she switches on the computer, the screen appears black.

Can anyone help?

first can you hook it to an external monitor and let us know what happens?
use tfn key and the f keys to outpoot to external monitor
