Deodorant in charging hole

Don't ask how, but a piece of stick deterrent got into the charging hole of a laptop and now (surprise) the computer doesn't charge.

An attempt has been made to scrape it out with a toothpick or something..

Any ideas?

Rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. May need to take the laptop apart.
