desktop thermal paste for Laptop

I bought zeroTherm thermal paste for my desktop but i was wondering if i could also use it on my laptop cpu. I have read somewhere desktop thermal paste is different than laptop's. Not sure is it true

There is no difference between laptop thermal paste and desktop thermal paste. There is actually no distinction made between the two; all thermal paste is sold without a particular use case in mind, besides presumed increases in quality and thermal conductivity - marketing claims that are usually false. Note that for a laptop, you may want to use less paste than you would with a desktop part.
