Did DirecTv drop some channels?

I have the 'New' DirecTv-dvr combo unit. Forget the Model # and am too
lazy to get up and look.

Anyway ... yesterday I went to check the guide listings (set on favorites)
and found that two channels were missing. I don't know which two
disappeared. Any idea what happened?

Maybe the new sattelites have been launched which will make your DTV
Tivo obsolete.

DirecTV made a number of channel to transponder reassignments yesterday.
This caused some channels to temporarily disappear. The Channels You Receive
list was disturbed by adding channels you previously removed from that list.

You should revisit Channels You Receive and Favorites settings to make sure
all is well.

DTV doesn't have sattelites that can make my TiVo obsolete. Aren't you
supposed to take a week off from posting every time you post a lie?

Channels like TVLand, MTV, and NESN have disappeared from my favs list. I
was wondering the same thing. I just added them back.

It happened again yesterday, I 'lost' 2 more channels. Went into the menu
and found that Tvland & MTV2 has been de-selected in my Fav's.

Thanks for letting me know that it was DirecTv's fault. It would have been
so nice of them to sent out a warning about the channels being re-assigned
to let us know about potential problems. I was beginning to wonder if there
was some problem with my brand spanking new machine ;)

I don't have DTV service I use Cox since I only pay $9 for extended basic
service. When Cox goes all digital (should happen in a million years) I'll
probably switch to DTV or might consider staying with Cox if the software on
their DVR has improved.
