Digital antenna dilemma

Have the MoHu leaf... Supposedly one of the better antennaes. Finding that, one some days I get better reception by switching to a paper clip. Can something be crafted so that both can work together without compromising signal to the other. This particular room is a basement with a window. Guidance sought.

TV signals in a basement are going to be a problem. The ground prevents the signals from reaching the antenna. You really need an antenna above ground to get reliable signal.
