I just got the DirecTV HD package with NFL Sunday ticket. The Pats game
last night was not broadcast in HD over my local channel (through DirecTV).
WHat is up with that?? DTV doesn't broadcast in HD over local channels??

TIA,
Mike

Direct TV does not have LOCAL HDTV only Comcast deos. You need to get a
antenna to get the OTA broadcast. I used the OTA signal and ABC did
broadcast the game in HDTV and it was awesome especially being a Pats Fan.

If you have the NFL Ticket, you need to tune one of those
channels. I believe for the HD channels, they are in the 90's.

True, but that's only for Sunday games. Yesterday's game had to be
pulled off air. Direct TV does not provide HD Local channels, only the
regular locals. Bandwidth. They give you an OTA rooftop antenna on the
dish with the HD install, but depending on your location and such that
antenna may or may not do the trick for you. I received a Winegard
Sensar II rooftop set up but it did me no good. Ended up installing an
indoor RCA ANT1250 from best buy and now I pull in all my local
digital broadcasts like a piece of cake. Last nights game was awesome
to watch. I think Manning blew it when he let himself being sacked in
that last minute. They were so close and could have easily tied the
game with a field goal if he just had thrown the ball...
This HD game was our first ever to watch and even my wife is hooked on
football now yooohooo Hell I'll even watch the Vikes play on Sunday,
just for the HD effect lol
