directv receiver no power /tv will not turn on

My direct tv receiver will not come on and the tv will not come on either. I've tried all technical support suggestions from directt tv and still no results.

If they aren't getting power, it sounds like it is more an issue with your outlet/power strip/etc than the devices itself?
