DirectX Direct3D problem

I'm running ME with a 2.26 GHZ, 512MB Ram and a geforce 2MX card. I may of at one time had DirectX 7.0 installed, but now have 8.01 DirectX, except for Direct3D which is still stuck on 7. I've reinstalled DirectX 8.1 several times and everything is updated except Direct3D (ddraw16.dll etc). Does anyone know a way to fix this?

You could try using the <A HREF="http/www.planetbattlezone.com/shack/tools.shtml" target="_new">DirectX Removal Tool</A>, reinstalling DirectX 8.1, and then reinstalling your video card drivers.
