I hope Disney's purchase of Marvel is just for the profits and not to change what Marvel currently is.

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The horror, oh the horror

"Sorry Wolverine, you can't eviscerate him. We don't do that here."

There goes two of my favorites, Wolverine and Ghost Rider. Probably won't be room for the psychotic Moon Knight either.

I don't know, spiderman 3 was pretty craptacular.

god, this is as much a tragedy as Romeo and Juliet. Nothing could be worse for the world of Comics, and anything related. Marvel just got a one wayticket to sugardumpling land, and everyone will no longer use power to save the world, instead they will drink tea and trip like alice in wonderland.

well, time to panic, marvel and everyone from it will never be the same. we will now see the thing go on magical possibly drug induced adventures in magical land of rainbows with goofy.

I don't think people need to worry about Disney destroying Marvel. I read that since Disney basically caters to females, Marvel offers a ability to cater to males. Also if the management is smart enough they wouldn't mess with a well established brand like Marvel.

The Thing's thing is no longer made of rock because he no longer has a thing.

a cool xbox 360 game would be marvel vs disney

imagine if they make a marvel movie with all of the main popular marvel characters replaced with disney characters

or is they find a way to bring the the new iron man movie to a point where it is more suited for toddlers

[citation][nom]superblahman123[/nom]This will prove interesting, also keeping in mind that Disney is the mind behind movies like Pirates of the Caribbean[/citation]

Yes, it will be interesting.

Wow interesting how many people relate disney and mickey mouse. Well has disney ruined ESPN, Pixar, or Touchstone?

Plain and simply Disney puts alot of money behind all of its ideas, so marvel will most likely profit from this by getting more attention, better publicity, and just all around more money to play around.

Also yes disney ruined whinny the pooh, but they only did the new versions because the old was dieing out, so they tried to re-do it all to keep it alive.

Too much drama about very simple... business is business. How dumb would they be if they ruin the world of Marvel Comics? Would you thing they would send 4$ Billion dollars to the garbage? Don't thing so.
Calm down everyone, what they want is profit. And no, they don't want to destroy your heroes.

submariner vs the little mermaid
wizard mickey mouse vs doctor strange
pocahontas vs wild thing
x-men's beast vs beauty's beast

Yeah, not happy to hear of one of my childhood favorites being swallowed by the Magic Kingdom crowd, but I highly doubt that their intention is to ruin the Marvel Universe. I think Marvel Entertainment will live on as it does now (for the most part) and continue with putting out comics, movies & games just like they do now. Just because Disney bought them, doesn't mean it will be babied-up. But what do I know? The only sure thing is that time will tell us if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
