Display a direct port

Have Direct port to hdmi. Plug in to my Xbox 1 x then to the monitor Asus PB287Q got no display

Do you mean Display Port? What exactly are you using for this connection? It should be HDMI to DP not DP to HDMI since you are going from the HDMI output on the XBOX to the monitor. You would need an adapter like this https://www.startech.com/AV/Converters/Video/hdmi-displayport-converter-4k~HD2DP

You bought the reverse of what you need, if you look at the cable it tells you that it will not work for HDMI to DP which is what you need, you are not going from DP to HDMI, you are going from HDMI to DP. This is on their product page at Amazon
