Display not working

Solution
Hi,

The first thing I would try is what happens if you remove the memory out of the laptop.
Normally it would beep without any memory meaning that the laptop is trying to boot.

If it beeps, try booting with only one stick of ram at the time (assuming you have 2 )

Also you could try to do a power reset :
Remove ram and battery and hold power button for about 60 seconds.

Then put ram back and plug the power and try to boot.

If all that fails: laptop is defective

The fact that your fan is spinning doesn't mean that your pc is even booting. There is still a good chance that your pc is broken beyond just a broken screen.
Also, please write longer and more detailed post if you want to get better answers.

Hope this helps!

A great way to double check if your display is not working is by plugging in your laptop to a TV or a desktop monitor via HDMI, DisplayPort or whatever external monitor connection your PC has. If that doesn't work as well. This is most likely a problem with your integrated/dedicated graphics card and the PC will need to be replaced. It is possible to replace a graphics card/CPU in a laptop, but is very costly and requires a lot of knowledge about soldering.
