Distorted Sound From Headphones

I am recieving distorted sound from headphones with disastrous vocals whenever i connect it to the headphone jack.My Internal speaker is working fine.I also connected an external speaker to the jack and it is also working fine with good vocals.Any help ???

Are these new headphones or old ones that used to work fine on this same system ?
