Do I really need to sync all my data with chrome Google. And why is my phone want to connect to my laptop

You don't have to sync anything to anything. Not unless you want to. I never do. I just back things up often. Safer that way. Equipment dies, gets stolen, breaks down, etc.

Not sure about your phone issue with connecting to the computer. Depends on what phone and what computer. You will have to check the settings for both to make sure nothing is set to search for the other.
