Do I turn my phone off when I dont have a power button

I have a kyocera hydro wave smartphone and. I broke my power button but now my phone is frozen on the screen and I have no power button to turn it off and I cant take my battery out please help me.

This will sound odd but the best thing to do is or break it some more or remove it completely. It's only a plastic bubble that presses down on the micro switch below it. You can do that quite safely with a pencil, not a needle, pin or anything metallic.
