Docking station for both laptop and desktop

Hello,
Is there a docking station can accept either a laptop or a desktop (so that the desktop can have access to the peripherals when I am not using the laptop)?

there's no such concept as docking station for desktop...

what you can do, there's docking stations that use USB to connect the laptop to it, so what you can do is get that one and when you not using the laptop, connect the desktop to it via usb.
