does anyone know if this is a good cooling pad or not? is its design good? or will it do more damage than good?

i feel like the heat is going to get trapped inside it and it's just going to blow hot air .. am i wrong?

That's a very strange cooler because it's sucking air from the laptop instead of blowing cold air directly into it. There very few laptops who need cooling pads like that, so check and see if the bottom of your laptop is sucking air into it or blowing air out of it.

Thank you. It's actually not too hard, if you've installed case fans, it's pretty easy to tell.
