Does the Game "The Crew" from Ubisoft has a Single Player mode?

That's pretty much it, simple question... I dunno if I should buy it, I mean, my childhood was basically Need For Speed Underground, Driver and Gran Turismo... I like Multi Player games but not racing in this case... So, does The Crew has a Single Player mode like most racing games or Multiplayer only?

You can play the whole game solo but it must be connected to uplay servers at all times.
