But i think my phone bricked me. So, I have an Epic 4g touch (sph-d710-bst) and after successfully rooting, cwmodded and backed up, came across a rom called GoaTrip. BEing new at the time to the process, i didnt realise that my phone was actually NOT an s II, even though the phone says differently-bootup animation, stock kernel, everything says Samsung S 2. so long story short, i now have a german phone, asking for a sim card (and if you can show me the sim card slot, i'll give you my ssn, moms maiden, walletand left nut) and since the I1900G-WHICH ISN'T EVEN RELEASED IN THE US, has so external sd, i have no backup. except for the split second during my recovery attempt that it wiped it clean. i have tried odin-ing the stock, adb-ing the stock, it keeps saying "Meh....nah." PLEASE HELP

Rooting a phone is always a risk/reward type of thing and all it takes is one wrong move and you have an expensive paper weight. You may want to find a repair place to have your phone restored to original factory condition. Having bricked your phone it may be the best course of action.
Pressing and holding the power button and pressing the volume button at the same time will bring up the factory restore option. A good source of getting information on smartphones is ;
