don't try it, currently the port has way too many problems.
rooted 2.1 rocks though. installed kindle app and angry birds.

Everyone should try the AOS 3.0 since it loads from the microSD. It is very smooth and once sound and video dsp is working it will be great. I mean two days of work and they have the GPU accelleration, apps working, widgets, accellerometer, and wi-fi all working. After a couple weeks the will have kernel hacks and they already are overclocking. Great time to own a nook color!

They actually even have sound working now.

What works:
-Graphics acceleration
-Accelerometer
-Wireless!
-Touchscreen
-Buttons
-Sleep/Wakeup stuff
-Sound!

Doesn't work:
-DSP e.g. no hardware video decoding
