Solved! Downloading speed goes to 1b/s

Why does my computer handle internet so poorly, i ran a speed test and it says 90mb/s download and upload is 90mb/s aswell and my ping is 4, but my computer either has 0b/s or like 200kb/s so to download a small update for a game takes like 10 - 15 min insted of 2 sec. why is that? this is only on my computer, not my brothers or anyone elses

IF like you are using origin or steam check the settings in the program and make sure its not set to limit the speed to like 200kbs

my download speed goes from 600kb/s to 0 b/s, but if i take a speed test it says that my download speed should be 12 mb/s, why is it that it suddenly goes down like that, and why isnt it at 12 mb/s like the speed test says it should be at.
My brother doesnt have this problem with his pc and his downloading speed is way faster than mine, what can i do? i have run a full scan of my pc so there shouldnt be any virus on it

Have you tried other known working Ethernet cables?

Check all the connections and cables in between.

Can you temporarily switch locations with your brother? Determine if the problem follows your pc or stays with your location/connection path.

While downloading something the download speed suddenly goes down to 0 b/s and just stays there and when it finally goes back up it is only like 500 kb/s but if i take a speed test i have 15 mb/s, why is it that everything is so slow on my pc. my brothers computer doesnt have this problem and downloaded the game fortnite faster than i downloaded an update to fortnite.

i am looking at it on the epic games launcher, havent used steam or origin in a while, but it happens on there aswell

It doesnt matter if i am on cable or if it is wireless or where i am, it is on any game launcher that i have tried, i think it might be something inside the computer, but i dont really know that much about computers so i was hoping maybe you guys know? like a circit that need to be fixed or something like that. i have had the problem for a long time but didnt bother trying to fix it, but now im begginning to be anoyed with it

Going back a step or two: Do you have admin rights to the router?

If not, who manages your router and network?

Work with that person to check and verify your home network connections.

May be some QoS setting within the router.
