Dropped phone resulting in SD card troubles

So a couple days ago I dropped my phone from a standing position (Not anymore brutal than other times it has been dropped) and immediately after turning it back on I started getting a "SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem" message on my phone (EVO 4G). So I tried taking it out and putting it back in multiple times but it doesn't seem that actually detecting the SD card is the problem. So I then decided to plug it into my computers micro SD slot and see what was up. I'm immediately greeted by a windows message saying that the drive needs to be formatted before use. Now I've got a lot of things on this card so I really didn't want to format it but I figured if it fixed it I'd just re download everything. But unfortunately if I try to format the card as it is telling me to, it fails. It also fails to format it via the prompt on my phone. So I am completely stuck here. I'd appreciate any help or tips that you guys have.

Thanks
Zach
