My Vizio E40=c2 is dropping channels from my indoor antenna when turned off. Vizio says it is TV and can be repaired. Is this a main circuit board problem or?

Also, it has been suggested that I can buy a Mediasonic Homeworx HW180STB 3/4 Channel HDTV Digital Converter Box and bypass the TV tuner which will store the channels as well as give other goodies.

Suggestions please. - jb

Solution
Using the Mediasonic TV tuner connected to the TV via HDMI will replace the internal TV tuner and give you a DVR too.
If you want something better a TIVO Bolt or Amazon Fire TV Recast would be more money but might be worth it.

Tks for the reply - strangle, for 4 days it dropped channels every time it was turned off and then for 4 days it isn't dropping them any more.

But for future need, which of the boards in the TV would I replace if it starts to drop channels again?
