DTS 5.1 to optical?

I recently purchased a Logitech X540 5.1 surround speaker system, along with a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD sound card, which apparently only supports digital output.

Is there any software or hardware device out there which can convert an optical signal into DTS 5.1??

Thanks in advance

I think he's issue is that the X540 is not SPDI/F capable and that the HD version is only a Professional style sound card, it might not have an expansion card for multi-channel analog so the analog output is only stereo while the X540 is 6 channel analog input. Unless you get another set of professional (monitor) speakers. I would recommend you take your X-Fi HD back and get an Asus Xonar DX instead.

Can't find anything if expansion card is supported.

Also, I forgot to mention that I have a gigabyte LGA 1155 motherboard that has on board Realtek HD audio that supports 5.1, but I doubt it would be as high quality as a high-end sound card.

I'm going to use the on board 5.1 for now, but should I keep using it and return the sound card, or keep looking for a solution??

Thanks all for the replies and I apologize for not explaining it well enough.

Rexter is correct in that the X-Fi card only has digital outputs and analog stereo ouputs while the x540 only comes with multi-channel DTS 5.1 analog cables.

I will submit an RMA to Newegg and try to get that Asus card.

Thanks again!
