Dual 1215 turntable won't stop

I haven't used the turntable in a while and when I move the lever to stop, the turntable keeps going. Does anyone know what could be wrong or how to fix it?

i also need a new needle. Do I have to buy the whole cartridge or can I just replace the needle?

It needs cleaning and lubing, the microswitch is stuck....
you can just replace the stylus if you are trying to save money...
you need to find an audio repair shop...

There is a little switch inside the turnable, and the lubrication on it has dried out.
