Has anyone ever heard of a dual processor laptop/notebook? If so, who makes
it? Thanks.

Not anymore. I think Chembook used to make one, it weighted like 15
LB, and u can fry eggs on it.

Why do you assume that "his fingers" are the limiting factor? Some people
use computers for something other than word processing you know.

Two processors doesn't make you faster, just makes the ammount of things
you can do at your existing speed greater.

Most of the time dual processors that I see in use are used for heavy
duity calculations, where one CPU does all the calculating while the
other CPU handles the OS and other such stuff. That is simplified of
course. Web servers can also benefit from multi processor systems as
they can run off slower chips but they need a lot of CPU time to handle
large numbers of requests.

For what purposes you are looking for one?
If you want to stay mobile then your power consumption is you biggest
concern!
If you only want a 'transpotable' PC why not take one of these new
'cube-style' ones? They would allow you any configuration by maximum
CPU-power..

Intel Hyperthread Pentium 4 is as close as you are going to get to a
dual processor laptop. Check it out.

I thought my P4 toshiba got hot, why would anyone really want to make
a dual CPU laptop... Consume more power, Hotter than the sun when
running full power... Better to get a normal laptop and go dual
desktop should you really need it.
