Solved! Dubbed VHS to DVD-R WILL ONLY play on the Toshiba recorder I used

VHS (about 50-60) Dubbed to DVD-R on a Toshiba recorder. They will ONLY play on it. They will NOT play on a Samsung BluRay player nor a Sony DVD player. I read where the discs may not have been finalized;so, I tested this theory on 2 of the DVDs. After finalizing (for what I believe to be a second time), the discs won’t play even in the Toshiba. I’m frustrated.

Compatibility is a tricky problem

I would suggest you check out what the actual content on one of the discs is on a computer. That would let you see how the content was stored. You could then convert the file to a compatible format.
