DVD player, no sound but machine is working

TV is fine...pic & sound. click on video & nothing happens but the video is operating. How to get sound

Depends on how the DVD is connected to the TV. If don't use HDMI make sure you have the audio cable connected correctly.
Check the DVD player audio menu. It might be sending audio out of the wrong output.
