dvd rom not found

Hello, I have a hp pavilion dv 6000 laptop and yesterday I instaled windows vista whith the licence key beacuse my dvd/rw is not reading my CD/DVD but I can burn CD/DVD. When I click on the dvd drive f) it says Application not found. in device manager everething is ok. Help Me Please ! Michael

So you can burn a CD or DVD but can't read a CD or DVD, is that correct?

It may be that your optical drive is simply in need of cleaning. Try blowing out with a can of compressed air or running a CD cleaning disk in the system.
