DVD to projector

I'm trying to connect my Sony BDP-S670 to my InFocus 2114 projector to play 3D movies. DVD will not make handshake with projector. Would like solution if possible.

Do you have the Wireless Presenting via optional LitePort II module for the projector?
Can't seem to find much info on that feature, but you'd need at least something like that if you're trying to do wireless/bluetooth.

Its A 25 foot HDMI to VGA. What I don't understand is my projector is 3D capable. But my DVD player will not handshake with it.

This is likely the issue. HDMI is digital whereas VGA is analog. Unless there's an active converter in there somewhere, it won't work.

How are you connecting the two devices?

I'm using A high speed HDMI from dvd player to VGA on projector.

Is that an active or passive convertor?

I'm not sure. Don't know the difference.

My guess is you'll need an active converter since HDMI is digital and VGA is analog.

The caveat is the the BluRay player probably has some sort protection (i.e. HDCP) that will prevent you from being able to use most converters.

Do you recommend any particular type of converter

I'd probably use something like this HDMI to VGA, Moread Gold-Plated HDMI to VGA Adapter and a separate 25' VGA cable.
