dvd/ tv/ audio video issues

my blue ray dvd player has an hdmi output that I connected to my tv, a port for LAN internet access and digital audio output. My a/v receiver doesn't have a digital audio input port. How can I get the dvd player routed to the receiver so I can play movies in stereo?
