Solution
That is a subjective question, but access to memory, disk, and mini-PCI express is why I frequently choose Dell laptops.

The hardest laptops to work on (from my perspective) are usually Macintosh ones. HP laptops are also very time consuming to work on, as you usually have to remove everything from the case, but they at least provide instructions :)

any new laptop is easy to replace HDD. just unscrew one or two screw and there you go. Note that if a laptop comes with a special HDD fall protection ( like Lenovo do for his thinkpad serie) it might be harder to pull it out since it will most likely be wrapped into silicone protector squeezed into the laptop.

The new HP Probooks and Elitebooks are very easy to do this on.

They have a slide off cover on the bottom that gives access to the battery, HDD, RAM and a few others.

As opposed to the Toshiba Z40 with a screwed in bottom chassis that needs to be removed. I agree that Macs and ones like the Z40 are not easy to work on.

i own a hp envy-15 jc073cl (AMD A10 5750M with IGP only) and I had no problem changing RAM and HDD on it. pull out battery, unscrew one screw, pull HDD lid and there you go.
