Hi,

I'm looking for good, not too hard to use, delta versioning software. I don't need any server/multiple clients features, just to store old versions of a video game as Steam updates it - without taking too much space.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

I don't think storing games (that is, executables / media files) in source-control repository will give you any benefits. Delta-ing these files is not as delta-ing text files.

Get good-quality DVDs, and keep old copies there.

How you know they're similar? The fact that file-names are same does not mean anything.
Download some file-compare utility with binary file support (e.g. WinMerge), and see which files / folders differ.

Ok, Git might work, how do I make Git GUI display more than 5000 files? (Or maybe it doesn't matter if I only want to backup them, not see what changed?)
