Enable default right click settings - suddenly not working

I use left-handed mouse settings on all computers - no problems. Out of the blue, HP Ultrabook has decided that, whichever button is chosen for primary click, the other reads "button/zone completely disabled". Tried reverting to default and nothing... How to fix?

Never mine! Among one of the dumbest/irrational "fixes" I've come across, but it worked in case others have this problem: I turned on the click the "click lock" and then its settings; suddenly it reverted back to normal....
