Hi,

I have a 8 month old Dell laptop which is encrypted with BeCrpt. . I've forgotten the BeCrypt and Windows passwords. I don't need the data on the laptop anymore, so just looking to format the hard drive so I can sell the laptop. ( I got it from work, but have now moved on )

When I turn the computer on, it goes straight to the Becrypt screen and asks for the Becrpt password.

I can access the BIOS screen by pressing F2 on startup. Should I buy a copy of Windows CD or USB bootable, and tell the BIOS to run from there. Would that work, anything else I need to do?

Thanks

Sorry, we can't help you with bypassing the password since we have no way of knowing if the device belongs to you.

Solution
How could you forget TWO (2) PASSWORDS you USED EVERYDAY without copying to PAPER. We are not going to help thefts, I am certainly NOT SORRY.

Contact Dell for assistance and be prepared to provide proof of ownership.

Otherwise, we can't assist in bypassing security measures as we have no means to verify legal ownership.
