Estimate for my laptop

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting a gaming computer and was wondering if someone could quote me for how much I could possibly get for my laptop. Also if anyone wants to throw out a number to buy it go right ahead.

What I Have:

Windows 7 Professional

HP Pavillioin dv6 Notebook PC

CPU - Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz

RAM - 8GB

Hard Drive - 750GB

64-bit Operating System

GPU - Radeon HD 6770M

15.6" screen 1920X1080

Blu Ray Disk player

Beats Audio System

The laptop is only over a year old and no dings or scratches. Its grey with a finger scanner too.

Just from looking at it, I would guess roughly around $700.

I'd say you could get a bit more, but if you wanted to move it, $700 seems reasonable.
(And turning that $700 into a gaming computer will be a hell of an upgrade.)

Not sure what you were expecting. 700 was my guess before I saw his. Retail was 1050 with stock screen. It's used. You have no warranty left. Batteries got wear. You might get 800 to the right person thanks to the upgraded screen.

Bought one last year with stock screen for $800 AUD retail and I remember a similarly spec DV6 was on clearance on tigerdirect mid last year for around $750 USD (which earns my top recommendation for laptop of that price range for that time period). So, it's definitely less than $700 now. A Y400/Y500 with a much faster GT650m is only around $750 new, so I think your laptop can fetch around $550 with other people. I personally would pay $400 max. IMO, without warranty, a laptop lose a big chunk of its value.

You may want to monitor this and adjust your price. This one has a stock screen, but has warranty which is much more valuable:
