Solved! External Keyboard quit working on my android kitkat 4.4.2 HL-789 tablet

I have an Android KitKat 4.4.2 tablet model HL-789 and the external keyboard just quit working and I don't know why

I would suggest you try the keyboard on another device and see if it works. If it does, then the issue that needs to be addressed is on your tablet. If, however, the keyboard doesn't work on the other device either, then you may well just need a new keyboard.
