External TV Speakers

I would like to connect rear speakers to my TV. Unfortunately, it does not have connections for external speaker output, so I need some sort of amp. The TV does have audio output RCA jacks. What would be the easiest/cheapest way to go?

If you connect any amplifier to your TV then you will not be getting rear channels. You will get front left and right. To get actual rear channels you will need front and rear speakers (a center channel would be good too). These would connect to a surround sound receiver. In your case you could use an older used one that would not cost much. Check local Craigslist and eBay.
