Maybe parents should learn some responsibility. It wasn't "take your child to work day". Just because you can't find a babysitter or afford daycare doesn't give you the right to bring your child to work in a restricted area. It doesn't matter in this case if the children were simply talking over the mic or pressing buttons, it's still wrong and in the case of flight control very, very dangerous. If you work in a call center and let your child talk to customers over the phone under your supervision then this would likely result in immediate termination.

You know, regulations in life is making life more boring and stressed than it should be.

"Initiative" is something that normal people don't show, but with that if we ever have any kind of improvement in our quality of life.

ATC is the "most" stressful job you can ever think about. And some distractions like bringing your or your collegue's child to work is a good way of relieving that stress. These are all humans, you might have forgotten that fact.

Have you ever been to a control tower and spent your time with the ATC even for half an hour?

When you are getting nervous in the plane which was delayed to take off and swearing at people, those guys are trying to shuffle all the planes up in air and on ground in the most effective way, knowing that slightest mistake that they've done will cost hundreds of lives, if not more!

So, give them a break, OK? I saw them how they work! That child going there in fact should be made mandatory, just to give them a bit of cheer in their lives!
