Unless hugely better features are made on some alternative, or if facebook makes a GIGANTIC screwup, facebook isnt going anywhere. It has grown too big for people to change to a new social service.

"Google+ died on its birthday"

If they would have just opened it to all in the beginning instead of just invites, I think it may have gotten a better start. It had a bad rep before it even went public.

I dropped Facebook since Google+ beta. And I am still very active at Google+ meeting new friends with similar passion. I don't think I will ever be active in Facebook again. Just don't like the idea that everything I do is broadcast to my "friends". And more.

My current Google+ stream is very busy. More so than Facebook.

I use a Facebook account to "like" products, get the associated discount as a token of the company's appreciation, and then unlike it again after I've made the purchase. It is also handy for entering competitions that require you to "like" things as part of the rules.

Probably the greatest benefit, however, is the fact that I am first to be notified by email about all of the best deals on viagra.

Facebook pisses people off? How about Google signing you up to G+ without your permission, and then farming all of your cookies and personal information from your emails and chat records? No?

I think this guy is just severely butthurt. Most G+ accounts were set up automatically for gmail users that don't give a shit about G+.

Facebook is indeed pissing many people off, including myself and I find the circles system and the general looks of G+ much more appealing. But the main reason why G+ is not pissing anyone off is that there's absolutely no one using it !
Yes, I know, millions of people have a G+ profile, but that's just because they clicked on a Yes button one day without reading the text above it and voilà, their Gmail or Picasa account was "upgraded" to a G+ account.
If G+ ever turns out to be succesfull, I'm afraid there will be as much scam and ads than on Facebook... and the fact that G+ is linked to many other Google services many people use is even more vicious regarding privacy...
