Step 1: Make sure to back up all of your personal files. A system restore will return your Dell Windows 8 laptop to factory settings, which means that anything that wasn’t on your system when you bought it will be lost. Back up your data to avoid losing any of your important documents.
Step 2: Plug your laptop into the AC adapter, just to make sure it doesn’t run out of battery while going through the restore process. Then restart your system from the Settings menu.
