Faint Grey Line At Top Of Screen

Laptop: Acer Aspire E5-S22
Bought: Christmas 2017

Was bought in USA and now in Canada, Acer would need reciept for warranty and that was lost when I came back to Canada.

Faint Grey Line across at the very top of my screen

How do I fix this if possible?

Please Help

That is odd that they want a receipt. If it is still under warranty, I suggest you call back and talk to a different person, even a supervisor if necessary. Sadly reps are great and blowing people off.

I had to get my phone that close to the monitor for it to show up

See if your monitor has an overscan setting. If it does play with it and see if it fixes or hides the grey line.

Acer has said it is out of warranty and that a new monitor for this model would cost about the same as a new laptop yet when I looked it up I saw prices of $50.00

By putting this post up, your problem is now on the top of the list and I hope someone can help you.

It only visable looking at the laptop screen you can see the difference from the pictures I took on my phone to the above one.
