Fans/Screen possibly hard drive not powering

This is laptop is fairly old, 2012 i think. But she i go to switch it on, it powers on, no screen shows, fans are still, can't tell if hard drive is on or not and caps lock button light is flashing.
Any help.

hp laptop? what is the sequence to the caps lock button light flashing as in 2 flashes, pause then repeats?

Hp yes. No the light flashes are singular
