Solved! fans to cool laptop.

I CHANGED the fan twice still it makes noise does anybody have a advent 7104 laptop with same problems or knows what to do?

The noise can come from an improper cooler installation. Regardless, are we looking at this unit?

i put the same fan in it three times!!replaced!! still noisy.whats the chances of finding 3 faulty fans!!! THANKS for replies.

change thermal paste on the heatsink or be prepared to get another laptop, afik, the sensor and controler for the fan can't be changed easily/at all

or laptop, whatever is cheaper, unless is under warranty and you shouldn't be changing parts under warranty

I see you trying to change the TIM and see if anything changes. Given that your laptop is way outside of it's warranty period, any replacement parts will be from third party vendors which in essence means that they aren't the best of quality which is why you may give benefit of doubt towards the fans being faulty 3 times in a row(or that the batch that arrived was faulty in itself) and since the laptop itself is outdated, shelling out anymore expenses on it is a waste of resources. I'd say that it's run it's course and a new laptop would be worth your investment+ears.
